Collaboration in Practice: British Lithography 1800 - 2022
Exhibition tour across the three gallery spaces at the School of Art Aberystwyth
The exhibition at the School of Art is curated across the three main gallery spaces:
Gallery 1 includes examples of early polyautographs, pen and ink drawings by Thomas Barker of Bath, chalk and wash drawings by James Duffield Harding, tinted lithographs printed by Charles Hullmandel and examples of prints by members of the Senefelder Club
Gallery 2 includes work printed by the Curwen Press, Miller's Press, Harley Brothers and by Stanley Jones at the Curwen Studio. Also included are examples of lithographs printed for suites - such as those produced for Benda Rawnsley's School Prints 1946-9 and the Coronation Suite 1953.
Gallery 3 focuses on prints and portfolios produced by artists working at contemporary studios across the country.
